PSLE Release Day…
My happiest day in my life happened last year… Although it was several months ago, but I could still remember that day vividly. It was the day where our Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) was released.
That day, we had to report to school punctually at 11am. On the previous nights, I could not sleep as I kept thinking of how well or badly would I score. On that day, I was very nervous and my friends and I went to school at 10.30am.We thought that we were very early but to our surprised a lot of students had reached the school already. Then my friends and I found an empty bench and we started taking. Time passes very quickly as soon, it was 11am. We went to the hall and we sat in our class according to our register number. After a while, the principal came and gave us a speech. She talked about the passing percentage for our cohort and the national cohort. We were glad that we had ninety plus percentage passes. Soon, the clock struck 12noon and it was time to get our PSLE result. The top scholar came from our class! We were as happy as a lark. The top scholar went up the stage and the principal shook his hands and present to him a bouquet of flowers.
Then, it was the most exciting moment. It was time to take our results from our form teacher. The hall was so quiet that you could even hear a pin dropping. We lined up according to register number and went up the teacher to get our results. My register number is the last in class and therefore I had to wait for a long time. My heart was beating very fast and I started sweating. Some students cried for happiness while some for sorrow after knowing their results. Upon seeing that, it made me more and more nervous that my hands started trembling. My parents and siblings also went there to cheer on for me and they asked me not to be worried. Soon, it was my time. My form teacher smiled at me when giving me the certificate. I looked at my certificate and tears started rolling uncontrollably. I ran towards my parents and told them my results. They started crying too as they did not expect me to get such a good marks. I am so happy as I could qualify for my dream secondary school. This is the happiest day for me!

Hong Kong shows…
Whenever I was looking through the photo albums, I will definitely remember the wonderful memories that I had with my family to the trip in Hong Kong and to Disneyland. I enjoyed the trip and there was a particular day that I remembered the most out of the 8 days trip. And that was when we arrived in Disneyland during the first day.
My brother and I were very excited when we board the coach, holding the big and small luggages in our tiny little hands. We placed the luggages in the coach and we set off in high spirits. The journey took about half an hour and we alighted at the Disneyland Hollywood hotel. My parents went to check in to the hotel and my brother and I went around the hotel to explore it. The scenery outside the hotel was very beautiful. Then, our family deposited our luggages at the hotel and we proceeded to the Disneyland to play.
We boarded the bus and we set off to the resort world. My brother and I were very excited as we could get to meet the Disney characters and to play with them. We arrived at the Disney resort shortly and there was a big crowd there, waiting to enter Disneyland. After we had entered into Disneyland, a big mickey mouse face was there to greet us visitors. The face was carved in grass and we took photos of it. Then, we proceeded on into Disneyland. There, many people were in the Disneyland. We walked around the place and it was very fun, and it makes me have the feeling that I am in the real world of Disneyland.
We saw a poster and it says that there is a drawing lesson of mickey mouse and we went in it to learn it. My picture was very ugly as the shape of the mickey mouse’s face was out of shape. Then, after the drawing lesson, we walked further into the Disneyland and we played many different games that were very fun. Besides that, we also bought many beautiful disney characters souvenirs. We toured around the resort and took photos with many different kinds of disney characters. They were all very cute.
In the near evening, there was a march done by the entire Disneyland people and crowds and crowds of people are gathered beside the road track. My family had to nudge our way through the crowd so that we can get a better view of the march that was going on. The people marched out slowly, following to the beat of the music. The view was very nice. My parents were busy taking photos and my brother and I had our eyes glued to the march. The march ended quite fast.
In the evening, we stayed in the Disneyland to witness a show of fireworks at 8pm. The fireworks were very interesting and they made it into a grand manner. After the fireworks show, my family went back to board the bus back to the hotel. We were very tired out. That was indeed the happiest moment in my life.

The Dream of Snow City
The happiest day of my life happened when I was eight years old. As the four seasons does not occur here in Singapore, it has always been my dream to experience the other seasons that Singapore does not have. It all began when I was having a nice chat with my mother…
It was late at night and I could not sleep so I decided to have a chat with my mother. As I needed to attend a morning session school the next day, my mother had tried to convince me to sleep so that I would have energy to pay attention in class the next day. After some futile attempts, she gave up trying to convince me to sleep and chatted with me instead. At that time I was so active that no matter how hard I tried to obey my mother to close my eyes, I still could not get to sleep. Then, my mother asked me a question, “Belinda, have you ever dreamt of experiencing the other seasons which Singapore does not have?” This question made me more active and more wanting to get into the conversation of the seasons. I nodded my head and was just about to begin my chatter when my mother cut in and said, “If you can get to sleep, I’ll promise to bring you to a place where you can experience snow.” Because of her words, I was so thrilled, so happy and excited that I could agree to any conditions that my mother lay. “Think of snow, think of the place where you love to go to…” As I tried to visualise the place that I had dreamt of ever since I was young, I began to drift slowly to sleep. That night could be the happiest moment of my life but after my experience in a place called “Snow City”, I then realised that the happiest moment was when I was experiencing snow.
As promised, my mother brought me to Snow City where the world in it is filled with lots of snow falling and even the temperature felt like real temperature on a snowy day! I built snow castles, snow man, ice towers and lots of different things! There was even a small playground for children to jump and play about! That day was so fun that I had even decided to “leave my mark” there by printing my handprint on the snow characters that I had formed. That day, I had finally fulfilled my wish on experiencing snow and I can never ever forget the beautiful memory that I had. Even though I knew that the snow was man-made, the feeling was so real that no words could be used to describe my feelings at that time. But sadly, good things always come to an end. I had to leave the “city” after some hours of playing. (Though it had been hours, it only felt like an hour to me.) I had dinner in a restaurant that allows a view of “Snow City” and sighed contentedly with all the things that my mother had done for me to fulfill my wish. After that, I, with my mother, went home tired but happy. That day was really an experience that was worth having and the happiest day of my life!

Happiest day of my life...
A “roller-coaster”trip to Bintan
The happiest day of my life was when i was going for a bintan trip with my friends. That morning,I woke up really early with a butterfly feeling in my stomach.I was so excited! My mother sent me to school where i met my friends and teachers who were also going. After my mother and i bade our teary goodbyes,i went into the school and made my way to the assigned meeting place. When i got there,I found out that i was not the first and most of my friends were already there, jumping up and down in excitement. After 10 minutes, everyone had arrived. We thought we could leave straight away but we were wrong. We still had to wait for the bus to arrive and that will take half an hour.We felt that was the longest half an hour we had ever experienced!
Finally the bus arrived and we boarded it hastily. We reached the jetty where we were supposed to board the boat. After another excruiating 20 minutes where everyone was busy going to the washroom and buying sweets and tidbits, the boat was ready for boarding. We lined up orderly and got ready. When it was my turn,i went through the routine body scanner,it beeped furiously and the women asked to search me.I was so terrified that i nearly peed in my pants. In the end,it turned out to be my phone which was causing all the trouble.
We boarded the boat excitedly. No one dared to stand up through the entire 50-minutes (no need the 's') journey as we did not want to fall down.We reached the jetty in Bintan and everyone alighted the bobbing boat.We passed through the custom and saw our hotel bus coming round the bend.We thought we were staying in a grand and luxurious 5-star hotel but we were wrong.Instead,we stayed in 2-star motel which was infested with cockroaches and lizards. We were so disgusted that we did not even dare to step in.In the end,my lion-hearted friend took out her pesticide and started spraying it all over the room. She announced the “all clear” and everyone timidly stepped into the room.We were still on high alert.
After that,it was dinner time and everyone went to the nearby coffeeshop for dinner. The food there was traditional and it tasted was very nice.Quite nice.Everyone was then asked to report to the teacher's room for a briefing. When we reached there, the teacher started talking at 100 miles per hour non-stop about our Socializing skills. We sat still at the floor for about 2 and a half hour before we were allowed to leave.By then everyone was restless.
In the room,we called our parents to update them and everyone sat down on the couch to watch CSI:Miami. It was around midnight by then and even before the show had started,we were already nodding off.No one bothered to sleep on the beds as we were too tired to even move an inch.
It was a valuable experience and i will always treasure it throughout my entire life as my first overseas trip with my friends.

Clarissa's favourite primary school Memory...
My favorite Primary school memory...
I guess my favorite Primary School Memory was when I was told I was the school's prefect team leader, which was higher than senior prefects but lower than the assistant head. I was so happy!Although I could not clinch the spot of Assistant Head Prefect,I decided to make the most of it. I had a lot of fun bossing the prefects around because they had no choice but to listen to me. However, I was frequently scolded by my teacher-in-charge because of some misunderstanding. Those from my school would know who she is and how naggy she can be!I had a terrible time under her but I learnt a lot from her. I hope I can be a part of the Peer Support Board in my school. Wish me luck!

Hi! Angelic Angela here. This is my favourite school memory post.
When I was in primary school, my CCA was acrobatic gymanstics. I loved it. Now as I think about the sweet memories in my gym hall, I can sense a sense of pride and the sense of happiness as well as longing to go back. It was the hall that I trained in, the hall that I made new freinds, the hall that I always cried in, the hall where I smiled looking satistfied. The hall which my friends and I train in, alert and disciplined. Listening to the coaches instructions. Unwilling we sometimes may be, but knew it was for our good. Being oversplited was tough at first, but it soon felt normal. Holding on a handstand was really tough, but it soon became one of the sweet memories that is etched in my mind forever. I love my school. I love these sweet memories.

Favourite primary School Memory
My favourite primary school memory is the last day of school. We had a graduation party and each class was supposed to come out with a performance. Our class choreograph a dance and we spent alot of time doing that, but luckily all our efforts did not go down the drain as we heard thunderous applause from the audience. After our performance, we went to have our food. My friends and I were chatting happily but time passes really fast. Soon, it was time to go home.We hugged each other and tears rolled down my cheeks uncontrollably. Then soon we went home. To me, this is my favourite memory in primary school! :D

Jiayi's favourite memory in primary school
Well, my favourite memory of my primary school is that I am always very scared when I received all my results slip throughout my 6 years in primary school. Especially when the PLSE results are out. I was very nervous that I cannot get good marks. When the teacher announces the top 10 people in my school, my name was not mentioned. I told myself: Ok, this is not going to be very scary, but just RELAX….
Then, after that, my teacher brought us back to the classroom to give out the rest of the results. My heart was pounding. Will I get what I expected? When the teacher announced my name, and when I saw my own marks, I was quite happy and quite sad. The happy thing is that I improved since my prelims and the sad thing is that I thought that I can do better than what I had gotten.

Belinda's Favourite Primary School Memory
I remember my favourite primary school memory was the post-Primary School Living Exams (PSLE) activities organised by my school. It is actually a trip to the zoo. We went to the zoo not just to look and learn about the animals there but also to have fun in an enriching way. We had this activity called 'Amazing Race' and we were supposed to form into groups and work together to find the clues to lead us to our next station. I was extremely excited and thrilled as I love adventures and mysteries. What made me even more into the "Adventure Mood" was that the organiser promised a Ben's and Jerry's ice-cream voucher for the winning group! It was practically too good to be true!
The sad thing was my group didn't work as well as the other groups as we needed more time to figure out the hints and puzzles that laid in store for us. But even though we did not win the game, the most important thing was that we had tons for fun and learnt many new facts about the animals that we never knew before!
Though we were the 8th group to reach, (at least we were in the top 10), I still felt moody as I wanted the ice-cream badly after the long run. Luckily Bernice encouraged me and cheered me up a litte. So after that, we went home thirsty but over the moon. :)

Hello, Cristalle here with my favourite primary school memory post!^^
My favourite memory from primary school is when some of us went to Shanghai for an overseas learning journey in Primary 5. I really enjoyed the one-week stay there with friends and we visited many places of interest in Shanghai. It was really cold on one of the tours and we shared gloves with one another. However, there were a few times when the weather was not that pleasing and there was even a heavy downpour on one of the trips, but it couldn't dampen our spirits at all. Besides that, my partner and I also sneaked into our friends' room for supper, watched television and played till late in the night!(That was what I loved most!)

Belinda's Memory
Whenever I see the word "Pet", a strong feeling and memory will be evoked in my soul...
It was just last year and the memory of the horrifying scene that I had encounted with pets is still fresh in my memory. I used to own a fluffy rabbit and I love it alot. Then, my family had organised a Christmas dinner and the venue was at my house. I was thrilled as I had long wanted to show my relatives my cute rabbit. All was fine until another guest arrived. She brought a dog with her (the dog was without a leash) to our Christmas dinner and before anyone could blink, the dog charged at my rabbit and bounded on it; causing it to jump in fright and running to the nearest room. I was too shocked to even move! Luckily, my father and uncles managed to keep the dog away from the room before it could go in to chase my rabbit. Till the last day that I had seen the rabbit (we gave it away), it still bears a scar of the scary incident.

Hello! Here's my 100-word post!
The word "pet" reminds me of the time when I had pets: hamsters, fishes and turtles. This was rather long ago ago and at that time as my sister and I were too young to take care of those pets they were all given away. I used to be quite afraid of them at that time and did not really dared to pat and stroke them. However, I hope to be able to keep a pet again in future. I really yearn for a dog as a pet, I think they make very nice friends. As they say, "Dogs are Man's best companions"!

Jiayi's Memory
Whenever i see fishes, i will always remember the time when i had a luo han. But sadly, because we were unable to take care of it properly, we gave it away...
I remembered when i was 5 years old, my mother brought back a huge fish called luo han. I was very excited as that was the first time i ever had a pet. I prepared the aquarium together with my mother, and we poured a lot of water into the huge aquarium. Then, carefully, we placed the luo han into the aquarium. Lastly, we observed it for a while and the luo han started to swim about freely in the water. My mother and I were very excited and finally we had a pet of our own.
From then on, I took good care of the luo han and observe it whenever I have free time. Therefore, I like to keep pet fishes as I can look at it whenever I am bored and stressed.

PET
When I see the word pet, it reminds me of what happened to me last year…
Last year, during the New Year season, I went to my relative’s house. They own a dog and that’s what I am most afraid of. Then, we went into their house and we exchanged greetings. All of a sudden, the dog came rushing towards me and fear started to engulf me. I started running away from the dog and the more I ran, the more the dog chased after me. Suddenly, the dog pounced on me and started licking. (That is disgusting) After this incident, I would never ever want a pet dog!

I had pets when i was young.2 Turtles,1 Fish.Well,my fish is dead now and my turtle has been released into the wild.My turtles was always very naughty. They would crawl out of their enclosure and climb down the stairs, causing trouble for my family as we always had to find for them.We were so irritated that we decided to release them to freedom.
My fish was surviving healthily but one morning i found it stomach up floating on the water.I knew something was wrong! In the end,we “declared” it dead and threw it down the rubbish chute.Up until now,i do not have any other pets but i am aiming to get a puppy!

Cristalle's most embarrassing moment...
Hello, Cristalle here! Here's my 1 minute post on my most embarrassing moment
My most embarrassing moment occurred when I was in kindergarten. Although vague,I still remember that time when I mistook someone else for my mother and went forward to hug her. I was really at loss what to do and could only stand rooted to the ground, blushing crimson red.>< Hope it does not happen to me ever again!!!

The most Embarrassing moment in Belinda's Life
Hi all,
The most embarrassing moment in my life happened last year when my chinese teacher asked me to stand up and show the class my content page in my exercise book as I am the only one that has filled up all the contents in the content page so I had to sort of turn 360 degrees to show everyone my content page.. So I feel very embarrassed as lot's of eyes are staring at me like I'm some sort of an exhibition...

The most embarrassing moment
The embarrassing moment is that during a P.E lesson in primary 5, we were asked by our P.E teacher to do some warm up exercises. We did a kicking exercise and all of a sudden, my shoe came out and flew in the air as if it was dancing. I feel so embarrassed upon seeing that. That was the most embarrassing moment in my life. Then, when my classmates saw that, they started laughing like mad. My cheeks turned red. But luckily, my P.E teacher asked my friends to stop laughing. But still to me, that was the most embarrassed day ever!

For this blog’s presentation and layout, I feel that it deserves a maximum score of 4because it is very neatly laid out and organised, with important points significantly visible. Also, you can access the author’s posts with simply just a few clicks! ^^ Besides that, its theme is very unifying too. It shows clearly about the author’s personal recount and I thought the design for this blog is appealing. Therefore, I think it should be rated under category 3. Next, for the design and graphics section, I feel that the graphics are quite relevant but seems to distract a little, so I feel that it will go under category 2. Lastly, for interest rate, I think it should be 3. This is because this blog is solely on the author’s personal experiences and recount, moreover, they are quite out of the ordinary, which makes it and interesting read!!!

Well, for the blog that I have chosen, the blog has an attractive, interesting and usable layout. It is easy to locate all the important elements that is supposed to be in the blog. I find that that is very good. In the blog, there is no specific theme but the graphics that the person used to decorate the blog are of good quality and it enhances the reader interest or understanding. For the blog contents, the person tried to make it interesting for other people to read it, but there is more room for improvement to the content. As for the paragraphing, it was generally good. As for the language wise, I find that there is no appropriate vocabulary in every single entry that the person wrote. Next time, this person has to include some vocabulary so that people will think that the entry is more fun and interesting to read. As for spelling and grammar, I think that there is no problem in it. Therefore, generally, the entire blog will be graded at a rate of 3, with 4 being the highest and 1 being the lowest.

The topic of the blog that I had chosen is sports. The presentation and Layout are rather plain and boring. It can be improved further by having a more attractive and colorful layout. I will give two marks for the Presentation and Layout as overall the layout still matches the theme sports but it appears busy and boring but it is quite easy to locate the information that the writer wanted to convey to the reader as there is a title followed by an explanation or answer.
As for the theme on sports, the graphics are related to the theme and there is also some sports merchandise in the blog. By doing so, it will enhance the readers’ enjoyment. Therefore, I have decided to give two marks for the Theme. For the Design and Graphics part, I will also give two marks to it as the Graphics are related to the theme/purpose of the site, and are of good quality. The author has tried to make the content of this Web site interesting to the people for whom it is intended. The content in it is short and precise and it does not beat around the bush and thus allowing the reader to know easily what is the message that the writer wanted to convey to his reader. And as for that, I will give three marks for that. There are only a few spelling or punctuation errors in the final draft; this will allow the writer to get three marks for this section. The writer also uses proper English but not singlish in his writing. The writer will be rewarded with three marks for the focus portion as the writer did not write out of point although the story wanders off at one point but the reader can still learn something about the topic. He tries to keep the story around his topic which is quite good.
For the paragraphing and sentence portion, the writer get four marks for that as his sentences and paragraphs are complete, well-constructed and of varied structure. He did not squeeze all the information in one paragraph; he paragraphs it every time he talks about a new thing. The language used in his story is mostly appropriate but the vocabulary is rather simple. He can use a wide variety of vocabulary in order to improve the vocabulary part and this will allow him to get three marks instead of only two marks. The sentences are precise and straight to the point and it sounds right so this will allow him to get two marks and not higher marks as some sentences are awkward and difficult to understand. The writer did a good job for having only a few errors in grammar or spelling and this will award him with four marks. He did not use any short forms to replace the words and he spell in full.
After all, I think that his blog is quite appropriate.

Paragraph Grading on Blog
Blog to be graded: http://the-ever-lasting-pain.blogspot.com
The graphics for this blog matches the theme for this blog, which is the author's never ending pain in her life. The graphic in the blog reads 'I want to end the pain now' , and finally, after a few posts of painful events that happened, the author finally got over the pain and ended it. The graphics are also of high quality as they are clear pictures and not some blur pictures that the author randomly chose. However the posts don't seem to capture the interest of the reader as there are no special headings or captions that might be able to attract the reader's attention. Still, the author has made an exceptional attempt to make the content of her website interesting by adding quizzes in her posts, adding music to her blog so that readers will feel more relaxed when reading her posts and adding pictures to her blog so that it will not be just words and more words.
